Jaguar XJR-15 a clasic super car

Peter Stevens designed this amazing supercar for Jaguar in 1990 in only 50 exemplars by a price that can make us wonder if it`s realy worth it: 960,165 $.
With a V12 engine of 5,993cc, and has a 6-speed manual transmission and a chassis and bodywork composed of carbon fiber and Kevlar, the XJR-15 has a 0-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 185 mph.

The Jaguar XJR-15 has a length of 4800 mm - 189 inch, a width of 1900 mm - 74.8 inch and a height of 1100 mm - 43.3 inch.

Chrysler 300

The productions of Chrysler 300 started in 2005,it`s a full size high performance car shown at the 2003 NY Auto Show.It`s a four door car available in 5 version,first version uses a 2,7 v6 engine generates 190 horsepower with a four speed automatic transmission,also it has 4 disks brakes and traction control.The second version (Touring) is powered by an 3,5 v6 engine making 240 horsepower,similar with the first version,it has a four speed automatic transmission,but more luxury features.
Top line,the most expensive version uses a 5,7 v8 engine generates 340 horsepower on eight cylinders .Like others cars Chrysler 300 share LX platform (suspension,front seat,five speed automatic transmission),the first update on Chrysler 300 will be in 2009.

Jaguar XJ220

The Jaguar Xj220 is one of the forgotten super cars and it was produced in 1992 by Jaguar,The super car was the most fastest car in that time.The vehicle features,a 3,5 l V6 engine generates 549 horsepower at 7000 rpm,six speed manual transmission and a top speed of 350 km/h,an amazing speed for 1992.The production limit for this car was 220 models,but were made 280.The car price was around $650,000.

Infinity Fx mid size luxury

The super car was produced by Nissan in 2003, and it`s available in 2 versions, first version is FX35 and second FX45. The second version Fx45 uses a 4500 V8 engine (315 Horsepower) with a five speed automatic transmission and the Fx35 is powered by a 3,5 L V6 engine.
In 2006 both of cars (Fx35 and Fx45) were upgraded with new options, the Fx45 engine engages now 320 Horsepower, more with 5 hp :).

When we talk about the performance of the Fx series, we must say that Fx35 has a max speed of 137 mp/h, reaches 100 km/h in 7 seconds and Fx45 has a top speed similar with FX 35, but it’s touching 100 Km/h in 6,3 seconds.
Similar cars with Fx series are Bmw X5 and Lexus Gx. It`s not a real super car but it’s features makes us think otherwise.

Brabus Widestar 2007

A higher horse powered, better handling and wider version of AMG tuned M-class has been created by BRABUS.This special model, WIDESTAR BRABUS, based on the Mercedes ML63 has made it’s debut at the Geneva Show 2007.Dynamic looks combined with maximum functionality are the main features that characterise the BRABUS WIDESTAR concept.
The BRABUS WIDESTAR body conversion consists of add-on parts for the doors, and rocker panels that create a more homogenous transition between the fender flares. But that’s not all:Complete front and rear fascias replace their production counterparts front and back. The front spoiler bumper with three striking air inlets and four integrated auxiliary headlights lends the M-Class more passing clout and minimises lift on the front axle. In combination with the rear spoiler the rear fascia with integrated diffuser and cut-outs for the four chrome tailpipes of the BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust system provides the perfect aerodynamic balance.The production V8 engine delivers 510 hp / 375 kW. It is fitted with sport air filters and high-performance metal catalysts as well as newly programmed engine electronics with custom mapping for ignition and injection. Together these measures result in an increase in power output by 40 hp / 31 kW to 550 hp / 404.8 kW. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 630 Nm to 650 Nm. Vehicle performance benefits accordingly: The sprint from rest to 100 km/h is shortened to 4.9 seconds. The engine tuning and installation of the BRABUS V/max unit increase the top speed from 250 km/h to 275 km/h.Safety has also been improved through a high-performance brake system. It features 12-piston aluminium fixed callipers and vented and cross-drilled 380 x 36 millimetre discs on the front axle.And if all the above mentioned characteristics are not enough to convince you of the amazing attributes of the sporty, dynamic, exclusive and powerful BRABUS WIDESTAR, we can go on with describing the exclusive interior options, one of the specialities of Mercedes M-Class:

Infinity G37

After the great success that the G35 coupe has had in the past, Infinity launches a new sport coupe G37. Since 2003, when it arrived, the model G coupe has had annual sales of almost 26 000, number that accounts for nearly 40 percent of all G sales. Taking into account the fact the numbers reached in 2006 – over 20000 (more than BMW did 3 Series Coupes- slightly under 15000), no one can say now that coupes are dead.It would be only natural that after such a huge success Infinity would bring to front a fresh two door of its own, especially if they want to keep BMW tense a little after they have just released the twin-turbocharged, 300-horsepower E92 335i coupe.The G-Coupe interior has been remodeled, the chassis has been tweaked and the styling has been brought to a higher level. 37 more horsepower has been added to the new V6. So the new G37 will be propelled by the new .7 liter VQ series V6 with 330 horses and 270 pound-feet of torque. The VQ will definitely be found into other Infinity products like the FX sport, M and G sedans or maybe the next Nissan Z or the upcoming Skyline GT –R. The VVEL is highly appreciated by Infinity due to a few qualities like: it provides more power and torque throughout the power band, also improves fuel economy as well as reduces emissions. At a first look, the new coupe seems to be almost like the old one, but further and more attentive examination reveals important fine lines: every body panel is new, fresh design cues are incorporated including a wave hood, a double-arch grille, L-shaped headlamps, and an integrated rear spoiler. When comparing dimensions, we can say that the G 37 has grown only 0.9 inches in length and 0.2 inches in width and it has shrinked by 0.1 inch in height. Wheelbase is still 112.2 inches, and front, rear tracks are widening by 0.5 and 0.9 inch, respectively.

Hyundai-Qarmaq

Hyundai has presented at the Geneva Show the series model i30 hatchback and the new QarmaQ concept.The crossover Concept, which has been announced in a sketch published a few weeks ago by Hyundai, brings an important change of approach in what concerns the materials used in its composition.While the traditional cars use metal and glass, QarmaQ is assembled from plastic materials made by GE Plastics. The QarmaQ concept is the result of the cooperation between the 2 companies and brings, as novelty, a vista of the kind that only a view from the chopper gives, because of the great surface of the plasticized windows from the car’s body.By integrating GE’s polycarbonate glazing wrap-around and the GE Lexan windscreens, the body weight of the cars is reduced by almost 50 %. A unique technology characterizes Lexan screens: Exatec Technology. It’ s a technology through which a thin, protective layer of glass is deposited on the screen, which helps when protecting from scratching or effects of humidity. The material, much lighter than traditional glass used in automotive industry, also increases the impact resistance and both occupant and pedestrian safety. When talking about pedestrian safety, we can also mention the system that uses deformable sections under the concept’s body panels, which is able to absorb crush energy in case a collision with a person may happen.GE Plastics’ High Performance Thermoplastic Composite (which is used for the horizontal body panels) manages to also save some weight. 900 recycled plastic bottles have been used when manufacturing other body panels.The new concept is a showcase of 30 new technologies that will be found in the future Hyundai models. The car is the result of the hard work of Hyundai Motor Europe’s Design and Technical Center and it has been engineered in cooperation with GE Plastics. It will be ready to roll in 2008 to 2014.

Gumpert Apollo Super Car

The Apollo super car was produced in Germany by Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH priced at 198000 euros.The super car is powered by a 4.2L V8 engine making 650 horsepower.It`s a two seat and two door car,mid engined and a 6 speed manual transmission.The max speed of the car is 229 mp/h and reach in 2,9 seconds 60 mp/h.
